Marcy Massie

Marcy Lee Massie, age 62, of Joplin, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Mercy of Joplin after a sudden illness.

Marcy was born February 23, 1955 in Joplin, daughter of the late Richard Lee Johnson and Bettye Jo Weeks Johnson. She graduated from Lincoln High School, and enjoyed working at the Joplin Workshop which she did for over 25 years without missing a single day of work.

In addition to her parents, Marcy was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Johnson.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Bill Massie of Joplin; sister, Janet Messner and husband Michael of Joplin; nieces, Misha Johnson of Joplin, Kelsey Johnson, and Bailey Johnson both of Webb City; nephew, Dylan Johnson of Webb City; great-niece, Ashlyn Griffberg of Joplin; great-great-nephew, Gabriel Sanders of Joplin.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Four State Cremation.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
