Elma Masterson

Elma Lorene (Polly) Masterson, 98, Miami, OK, passed into eternal rest at 12:45pm, March 9, 2018 at the Windridge Nursing Home in Miami, OK after an illness.

Elma Lorene Griffin was born September 13,1919 in Ottawa County, OK the daughter of David Austin and Susan (Susie) Griffin. Polly or Aunt Pod as she was affectional call by her family and friends was a lifelong area resident. She loved to visiting with family and friends, helping people, tending to her flowers and going on bus tours. She worked for the former Alf's Garment Factory in Miami, OK. She was of the Assembly faith and a member of the Wyandotte Nation.

Elma Lorene (Polly) Griffin married Archie Masterson December 11, 1936 and he preceded her in death February 8, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her parents David and Susie Griffin; two brothers Walter Griffin and Lester (Ton) Griffin; two sisters, Ercel Long and Ola D Massey.
Aunt Pod is survived by one sister, Mickey Massey, Wyandotte, OK and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm, Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca with Larry Convirs officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery.
