Maurine Wiswell

Maurine Schlicht Wiswell, age 85, Joplin, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Freeman West of Joplin.

Maurine was born October 22, 1932 in Carthage, Missouri, daughter of the late Benjamin F. Broadwater and Rosie Mae Mabie Broadwater. She grew up in Joplin and attended Joplin Schools. She enjoyed working for Sherman's Orange Juice Stand on Main St., and later worked for several years with Pillsbury. She was very proud to be a member of the Order Of the Eastern Star, Faith Chapter, which she participated in for most of her adult life. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the United States.

She was one of thirteen children, and is survived by one sister, Patty Broadwater, of Joplin; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with the Order of the Eastern Star Funeral Rites provided by the Temple Chapter.

The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m.
