Bobby Walker

It is with great sadness that the family of Bobby Ann Walker, age 86, of Webb City, Missouri, announce the passing of their beloved, Mom/Nana on November 27, 2024.

Bobby was born December 6, 1937, in Goodman, MO to parents, Earl and Josie Reynolds. She graduated Webb City High School in 1955. Then, married Fred Walker on Dec. 7, 1956, and they shared 2 children together. Jayma and Lloyd.








Bobby went on to work for over 30 years in the medical field. Starting at Jane Chinn Hospital in the late 60’s to Oak Hill and finally retiring from Freeman hospital in 2005. Eager to retire to bowl more, spend time with her children, and most of all her grandchildren then great grandchildren. Bobby gave her life to her family, attending all games, performances, and sick days. She was also a lifetime ticket holder for all WC sporting events and loved her community.

Survived by her daughter Jayma Burrow (Steve) Webb city. Grandchildren: Brandon Burrow (Amanda) Webb City, Whittney Stockdale (Jason) Webb City, Jodi Walker Webb City, Preston Walker (Coutney) Carthage. And Great Grandchildren: Cooper, Peyton, Emma, Raylan, and Wilder.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, brother Darrell Blanchard, and son Lloyd Walker.








Graveside services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Howard Cemetery in Goodman, Missouri. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorials are being directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital c/o the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City, Missouri.

Mary Kirby

Mary Alice Kirby, age 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Anderson, Missouri, on Thursday, November 28, 2024. She entered this life on February 2, 1935, in Batesville, Arkansas, to the late Jefferson and Mercer Tressie (Willtrout) Mason.

Raised in Sulphur Rock, Arkansas, Mary later moved to Kansas City, Kansas, where she would meet and marry the love of her life, Kenneth Max Kirby, on January 14, 1955. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and the bustling energy of a growing family. In 1989, they settled in Anderson, Missouri.








Mary's dedication to her family knew no bounds. She was a devoted homemaker, a role she embraced with grace and creativity. Her hands were rarely still, as she found joy in crocheting and had a talent for transforming yarn into beautiful creations that warmed the hearts and homes of those she loved.

An avid collector, Mary's home was adorned with treasures that spoke of her appreciation for the unique and beautiful. She had an eye for special finds, whether they were discovered through her love of infomercials or the glossy pages of her favorite shopping magazines. Each item in her collection had a story, and Mary was always eager to share them.

Mary's legacy is lovingly carried on by her three children: Ted Kirby and his wife, Zenaida, of Seneca, Missouri; Dee Kirby and his wife, Jennifer, of Anderson, Missouri; and Kem Smith and her husband, Darrel, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of her six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who will remember her for her boundless love and the gentle wisdom she imparted. She also leaves behind a brother, Howard Mason of Kansas City, Missouri, and a sister, Rosie Crouch of Independence, Missouri. Both siblings, along with a host of other family members and friends, will miss Mary's presence deeply but will find comfort in the countless memories they shared. 








She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Max Kirby on November 13, 2002; a son, Max Alen Kirby; a sister, Betty Sims; and four brothers, Jeff Mason, Jay Sims, Albert Sims and Loyd Sims.

Graveside services are 10:00 am Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Noel Cemetery in Noel, Missouri with Pastor Marilyn O’Brien officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Ted Kirby, Dee Kirby, John Benningfield, Alex Kirby, Dylan Kirby and Tyler Kirby. Arrangements are under the care of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.

Matthew Hutchison

Matthew William Hutchison, age 51, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 2:12 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at his home. He was born September 29, 1973, in Ventura, California, the son of William and Betty Lorraine (Beall) Hutchison.

Matthew graduated in 1992 in California. He was a union carpenter and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and was an animal lover and a Christian.

On December 26, 1998, he married Wendy Michell McNeal in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.








Matthew is survived by his wife of 25 years, Wendy; his father, Bill Hutchison and his wife, Lisa, of Miller, Missouri; three children, Cameron Hutchison of Republic, Missouri, Hannah Hutchison of Nixa, Missouri and Joshua Daugherty of Springfield, Missouri; one brother, William Scott Hutchison, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri.

Matthew was preceded in death by his mother, Betty and his brother, Brandon Hutchison.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in Sarcoxie, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.

Ken Carpenter

A gathering of family and friends celebrating the life of Ken Carpenter of Wadena, Minnesota, will be held on Saturday, December 14, starting at 4:40p.m. at the Elmer Goche Post 3922, VFW in Wadena.

Kenneth Ray Carpenter, 80, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, at Astera Hospital in Wadena, MN, with his loving wife by his side.







Ken was born on June 22, 1944, in the upstairs of a railroad depot in Carl Junction, Missouri, to William and Ethel (Smith) Carpenter. He was one of nine children, all of whom preceded him in death.

At the age of 17, Ken joined the United States Army and served as a medic in Germany for three years, earning an honorable discharge in 1964. After his military service, Ken worked in a variety of trades, including tree trimming, car mechanics, and highway bridge construction. 

His work in construction took him to many locations, including Chamberlain, South Dakota, where he met Karen. After only three months of dating, Ken and Karen were married, beginning a loving partnership that would last over 55 years.







In 1979, Ken and Karen moved their family to Minnesota, settling near Verndale, where they built a life and raised their children. Ken found joy in socializing with friends over card or dice games and was known for his talent in taking on various handyman projects around the home.

Ken is survived by his devoted wife, Karen; their three children, Timothy and his wife Michelle, Wayne and his wife Olga, and Kari; three grandchildren, Jesse and his wife Elena, Chance, and Megan and her husband Garrett; and five great-grandchildren, Owen, Leo, Bennett, Max, and Lorelei.

Ken's warmth, humor, and strong work ethic will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Julie Goodwin

Julie Marie Goodwin, age 53, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, in Mount Vernon, MO. 

She was born in Webb City, MO on Thursday, March 4, 1971; daughter of Lonard and Violet (Nelson) Goodwin.









Julie has been cremated and services will be at a later time.4
