Susan Lyn (Tubaugh) Buchanan, 74, of Jasper, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in Joplin, Missouri. 

Susan was born April 7, 1950, in Carthage, Missouri to Walter Tubaugh and Fernetta (White) Tubaugh. Susan was a longtime Jasper resident. She graduated from Jasper High School “Class of 1968”. Susan was a homemaker and attended the Methodist Church in Jasper. She enjoyed stock car racing, flowers, and supporting her grandchildren in all their activities.

Susan is survived by two sons, Gideon W. Buchanan (Melinda) and James W. Buchanan (Heather), both of Jasper, Missouri; two daughters, Lori Lyn Borland of Carthage, Missouri, and Crystal Johnson (Mark) of La Russell, Missouri; one brother, Michael Tubaugh (Vi) of Carthage, Missouri; three sisters, Sandra Earl (Dale), Sheila Harris (Larry), both of Jasper, Missouri, and Shirley Hoenshell (Scott) of Carthage, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and longtime friend, Bill Craig of Jasper, Missouri.

Susan is preceded in death by son-in-law, Eric Borland and her parents, Walter and Fernetta Tubaugh.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2024, at Dudenville Cemetery in Dudenville, Missouri. The visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri. Online condolences may be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
