Charles England

(From Midland Cremation Society)

Charles Leroy England, 92, of Carl Junction, Missouri, went to be with The Lord Saturday, November 23, 2024. He was born on December 7, 1931 to Jesse and Gladys (Tingley) England. He was a proud Marine veteran who honorably served his country during the Korean War.

Charles was a skilled welder and dedicated hard worker, known for his strong work ethic and unyielding determination. He retired from McNally Pittsburgh Manufacturing Corp. He was a devoted family man who cherished the time spent with his loved ones. An avid enthusiast of classic cars, he found joy in restoring and working on his vintage vehicles.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Bonnie England, they would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary January 14, 2025. Also survived by his three children: Richard England (Judy), Russell England (Debbie), and Kathie England Hinds (Johnny). He also leaves a legacy of love through his 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins who will remember him fondly.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys England; father, Jesse England; sons, Ronald and Montgomery England; and grandsons, Shane England and Destin Shryock and granddaughter Angelique Burwick.

A man of great character, he will be remembered as the biggest family man, the hardest worker, and the most stubborn individual. Charles had a profound disdain for cold weather and always looked forward to summer.

No amount of words could ever describe the love he had for his family and friends. He was an amazing man that loved a good breakfast date, a summer morning reading the newspaper and a good chiefs win along with a NASCAR race.

His family would like to thank Dr. Kennedy’s office, with an immense amount of gratitude towards Monica McKee, PA. Also, a huge thank you to Mercy’s heart failure clinic. The love and dedication they gave will never go unnoticed.

His family would like to invite you to celebrate his life on December 14th from 3-6 at the Carl Junction Senior Center. Dinner will be provided.
