(From Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home)George Eldon Amick, age 69, of Osceola, MO passed away at his home on December 10, 2024, after recently being diagnosed with cancer.
George Eldon Amick was born on July 6, 1955, to George Eugene Amick and Lola Faye (McCullick) Amick. Eldon graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1973.
Eldon married Patrica Dobbs in 1976, and they went on to raise two sons.
He went to work at Witt's Printing company for 5 years before moving to Blackjack to run Witt's Farm. He ran it for 23 years, when it sold, he stayed with the place and continued running it for the new owners. He went on to work at a couple other ranches before landing at Silverline Ranch and stayed there for 17 years. Once he retired, he moved to his son's farm and helped them take care of it. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed catching big catfish, hunting, working on tractors and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his two sons, Justin Amick & wife April, Kendall Burns; three grandsons: Dylan Bradford, Wyatt Bradford & Garrett Lievens; siblings: Diana Stiver of Willard, MO, Ronald Amick and wife Anita of El Dorado Springs, MO, Beverly Cuttingham and husband George of El Dorado Springs, MO, and Sandy Davey and husband Larry of Iantha, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for Eldon will be held on December 22, 2024, from 11am till 2pm, at the Eagles Event Room.
