(From Clark Funeral Home)Mary Ann Black, 73, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away on December 13, 2024. She was born on November 24, 1951, in Goodman, Missouri, to Carson Leeroy Divine and Rosa (Michael) Slaughter.
Mary was united in marriage to Tony Black on September 9, 1980. Over the years, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Cameron Manor before moving to Neosho, where she worked at Hudson Foods and later Tyson until her retirement.
A devoted member of Monark Baptist Church, Mary was a homebody who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She found joy in spending time at flea markets, relishing her retirement years, and being surrounded by her family.
Mary is survived by her two sons, John C. Powers Jr. and Patrick D. Reynolds; her daughter, Tammy Reynolds; four siblings, Carson Leeroy Divine Jr., Donny Joe Divine, Retha June Gilmore, and Donna Kay Grotjohn; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carson and Rosa Slaughter; one brother, Paul Dewayne Divine and one son Jimmy Lee Powers; her stepfather, Norman Slaughter; and a special friend, Louis Sherrill.
Public viewing will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home – Chapel of Memories. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM, also at Clark Funeral Home – Chapel of Memories, followed by a graveside service at Kenney Cemetery in Neosho, Missouri.
