Richard Bailey

Richard Harrel Bailey died peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2024. He was born November 20, 1941, in Carter County Missouri at home beside the Current River to Ralph and Margaret Bailey. He was saved at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. He loved attending church and his church family was very important to him.

Richard attended grade school in Jerico Springs, Mo and then graduated from Stockton High School in Stockton, Mo. Richard was one of the football stars at Stockton High School where he played the position of center. Richard operated heavy equipment, specifically a bulldozer for 50 years. He covered a large area of the countryside building ponds, waterways, and clearing fence rows.








He loved working on the family farm with his wife. They put up many bales of hay together over the years and worked 50 head of cattle. He also loved to hunt and to fish.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Ruth; his parents, Ralph and Margaret; four siblings, Ralph, Nadine, Dorothy and Leslie.

He is survived by his three children, Kelly (Doug) Brisco of Harrison, AR, Linn (Rhonda) Bailey of Lamar, Mo, Angela (Kevin) Rogers of Stockton, Mo; seven grandchildren, Ben Brisco, Stuart Brisco, Dalton Bailey, Garrett Barnes, Owen Barnes, Silas Rogers and Adalee Rogers; five great grandchildren, Amelia Brisco, Charlotte Brisco, Evelyn Brisco, Eleanor Brisco, and Harper Bailey; and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.








Special things to Lake Stockton Healthcare staff and CMH Hospice staff for taking care of Richard.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Wagoner Cemetery.

Bland-Brumback Funeral Home of Stockton, Mo will be having visitation on Sunday, December 15th, 4 to 6 PM Funeral service on Monday, December 16th, at 10 AM
