(From Parker Mortuary)Sherrie Lynn McDaniel, Joplin, Mo., passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 61 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 6, 1963, in Fairfield, California, to the late Henry Gordon and Bernetha Sheets.
Sherrie's career as a truck driver spanned 17 remarkable years, during which she became known for her reliability and dedication. She later served as a dispatcher at CFI for 7 years.
Beyond her professional life, Sherrie enjoyed riding motorcycles. Sherrie's sense of adventure was matched only by her competitive spirit. In her younger years, she and her brother Bill became foosball champions. She loved singing karaoke with her sister, Gina. Their sister, Kelley, took them to several different cities to enter into singing and dancing competitions.
Sherrie is survived by her son, Michael Hendley (Candace); grandchildren, Brentyn Hendley, and Calen Hendley; siblings, Bill Cottrill, Kelley Broome, and Regina Padilla.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cremation arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO.
