(From Clark Funeral Home)Laura Lynn Chatman, 67, passed away on January 1, 2026, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Laura was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on September 24, 1958, to James Wendel Chatman and Della Mae Capps. She graduated from Neosho High School and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Business from Missouri Southern State University (MSSU).
After graduating college, she spent some time living in Santa Monica, California where she enjoyed managing a clothing store at a mall in the LA area. Afterwards, she returned to Neosho, Missouri and, later, spoke highly of her time at Teledyne. Laura went on to raise her daughter in Ozark, Missouri and spent many years working for Bass Pro Shops corporate office.
In her free time, she enjoyed spending time at home, with her family close by. Laura dedicated her life to her daughter, Lilli, and then her granddaughter, Lila, everything she did in this life was for them.
She is survived by her daughter, Lillian Harr and husband Dustin Harr of Springfield, Missouri and granddaughter Delila Harr; her brothers, Ira D. Chatman and wife Deborah of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Brian Chatman and wife Julie of Columbia, Missouri, and Steven Chatman wife Catherine of Davis, California, along with numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother James Chatman.
A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on January 9, 2026, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho, Missouri. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Neosho IOOF Cemetery.
