Daniel "Dan" Duensing, age 53 of Joplin passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, February 22, 2015.
Dan was born March 29, 1961 to William Duensing and Twyla Wilson Duensing in Webb City, Missouri. Dan graduated from Webb City High School and then attended Franklin Tech of Joplin. Along with his wife, Jeannie, they owned and operated Danco Machine Shop in Joplin. He enjoyed hunting, ham radio, old tractors, but most of all, spending time with his grandson, Jaxon.
Dan was married to Carolyn "Jeannie" Leader-Crumbliss on March 24, 2006 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include his parents; stepson, Phillip Crumbliss and wife Brandy of Joplin; grandson, Jaxon; sister, Debra Marshall and husband Doug of Port St. Lucie, Florida; several extended family and friends that will miss Dan as well.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, David Duensing.
A committal of ashes will take place March 7, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at New Salem Cemetery, 17410 Falcon Rd. in Neosho, MO. Rev. Joe Dan Fowler will officiate.
It was Dan’s wish for his grandson, Jaxon to go to college. In lieu of flowers a scholarship fund has been set up as “Jaxon Crumbliss Scholarship Fund” at US Bank or can be mailed to P.O. Box 3345, Joplin, Missouri 64803.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
