Angela Lora (McConnell) Littlefield, 42, entered into the rest of her Savior on March 30, 2016. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Generations Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be in Carl Junction Cemetery in Carl Junction, Mo. The visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
Her survivors include her husband, Rev. Duane Littlefield and her daughter, Julie Anne Littlefield, both of Blakely, Ga.; her parents: Eddie Vernon McConnell and Susan Carol Hazlett McConnell of Carl Junction, MO; a brother: Kent McConnell and his wife Beth of Owasso, OK. and nieces and nephews: Matthew and Eli McConnell of Owasso, OK, Ahnika Littlefield of Westminster, CO and Michael Riley of Carl Junction, MO.
Angela was an active member of Zion Free Will Baptist Church, Zion Ladies Auxiliary, and the Midway Association of Free Will Baptists Women Active for Christ. While Angela would much rather have worked quietly in the kitchen or with the children she often found herself in leadership positions due to her ability to be organized and accurate with details. She served the cause of Christ as a Sunday school teacher, song leader, church clerk, district assistant clerk, church librarian, district auxiliary president, and many in more roles.
On December 29, 1994, Angela married her best friend Duane Littlefield. Though married for only 21 years, they were connected by an abiding friendship lasting 35 years. They met when they were in third grade and became fast friends from that time on.
Angela’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her daughter and teaching her to know God’s love. She relished the years she spent at home with Julie Anne from the day she was born until she entered first grade. When she did return to work, her primary concern was that her job allowed her to be home on time and available for her daughter and the church.
She loved her niece and nephews dearly. Ahnika, Matthew, Michael, and Eli meant the world to her. Any and every opportunity to spend time with them was welcomed. They were her little ones to love and nurture, no matter how old they have grown.
While she worked a variety of different jobs in her life, the job she most enjoyed was working as an assistant to the Carl Junction Intermediate school librarian. In this capacity she was able to teach children to use the library, read to them, and provided nurturing support that many needed desperately. She made a tremendous impact upon the many children’s lives she touched.

To honor Angela’s love of God and desire that children might hear the word of God, the family requests donations in her memory be made to Free Will Baptist Children’s Home, PO Box 249, Middlesex, NC 27557.
