Nancy C. Steward, age 73, Webb City, passed away at 9:11 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at her home after an illness.
Nancy was born September 10, 1942 in Joplin to the late Doler Allen and Dalpha Kayser Allen and had lived in the Joplin area most of her life.
She worked at the former St. John's Regional Medical Center as the operating room scheduling nurse for 34 years, retiring in 1995. Nancy enjoyed traveling, visiting casinos and playing bingo.
Nancy married Don Steward on July 3, 1995 in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives at the home.
Additional survivors include her children, Jeff Thompson, Lori Berry and Robin McCann; a sister, Opal Richardson; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Memorial services are planned for Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until service time at the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
