Barbara Louise Wolf, age 66 of Joplin, Mo passed away Friday April 8, 2016 at her home.
She was born on June 14, 1949 in Sheffield, Al the daughter of James Richard and Barbara St Clair “Whaley” Burke Sr. She married Earl Wolf on April 28, 1978 in Wayland, Mo. She worked as an intake nurse for the Shelby Co Jail in Memphis, Tn. She was a member of the Joplin Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother James Richard Burke Jr. Survivors include her husband Earl of the home, three sons: Chris Samples and wife Tabatha of Memphis, Tn, John Wolf of Bolivar, Tn and David Wolf of Brighton, Tn; a daughter Billie Johnson of Joplin, Mo, a brother Kevin Whaley, a sister Ruby Bermal, five grandchildren: Gauge Samples, Ryan Johnson, Jason Wolf, Destany Wolf and Kayla Wolf; on great granddaughter Riley Marie Wolf and multiple nieces and nephews.
Per Barbara wishes she was cremated and a private family service celebrating Barbara’s life will be held at a later date.
