Skia Nash

Skia Gabriel Jean Nash, 17, passed away, April 10, 2016 at Freeman West Hospital.

Skia Gabriel Jean Nash was born October 16, 1998 in Vinita, OK. She loved the outdoors and especially fishing, even noodling. She loved music and played the trumpet in the Seneca Band, Baxter Springs Band and Joplin Band. Skia loved her family and had a way about her that made people laugh. 
 
Skia is survived by her mother, Tonia Cox, Grove, OK; her grandparents, Michael Nash and Kathy Nash; great-grandmother, Jean Hundley, Burlington, NC; siblings, Rodney Chowning and wife Jessica, Charleston, SC, Carly Cox, Grove, OK and Samantha, Galena, KS; Aunt and Uncle Sheana and Randy Lankford, Seneca; one niece, Felicity Chowning, Charleston, SC; Cousins, Haley, Caleb, Joey and wife Tabitha and a host of family and friends.

Skia was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Hoyle Hundley.

Funeral services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Seneca Church of Christ with Jake King officiating. Burial will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery, Grove, OK, with Rodney Michael Chowning, Joey Nash, Caleb Miller, Dakota Lankford, Celica Moore and Promise Friend serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm, Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca.
