Jimmie Pearleen Deeds, age 88 of Joplin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Spring River Christian Village following an extended illness.
Jimmie was born April 12, 1927 in Casa, Arkansas to the late Albert E. Hale and Nora Schimmel Hale. She was a homemaker and very active in volunteering in her community and at Spring River Christian Village where she resided. Jimmie was an avid reader and enjoyed taking walks through the nature.
She is survived by a son, Mark Deeds and wife Sandra of Gambrills, Maryland.
Preceding her in death are a daughter, Nora Nel and a son, Robert Gene.
Jimmie's wishes was to donate her body to medical research.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri and no services are planned at this time.
