Lucille Silvey

Lucille Silvey, 95 years old from Oronogo, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016, after complications from pneumonia.

Lucille was born July 20, 1920, in the Pine District in rural Jasper County, Missouri to Malinda and James Turpen. Lucille married Perry Silvey on April 20, 1940, and they were married for 62 years. She retired from Elders Shirt Factory in August 1982. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, looking for arrow heads at the river, doing word searches, gardening and family time. She was a member of the Purcell Baptist church for over 60 years. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Malinda and James Turpen; her husband, Perry Silvey; her sisters, Velma and husband Marion Minkler, Lettie and husband Ora Harry; her brothers, Lawrence and Ira Turpen; her son, Jack Silvey, and her daughter-in-law Bobbie Silvey. 

She is survived by her sons, Bob and wife Jeanette Silvey and Bill Silvey; her daughter-in-law, June Silvey; her sister- in-law, Ella Mae Turpen; her grandchildren, Rick Silvey, Jinger Sentlinger, Shannon Silvey, Rachille Silvey, Rosanna Rion, Cristina Erickson and husband Travis, Kelli Kuennen and husband Scott, Amber Silvey Buell and husband Travis; her great grandchildren, Justin and wife Niki Sentlinger, Jacob and wife Allyssa Sentlinger, Shaffer and wife Arryn King, Logan Watkins, Ashleigh, Alex and Allison Rion, Gracie, Tyler and Colten Erickson, Frederick and Calvin Buell, Avery and Hailey Kuennen and her great-great grandchildren Annleigh, Paige and Trynity Sentlinger and Lincoln Sentlinger, 

Lucille was liked and loved by all that knew her. She will be dearly missed! 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City with Reverend Bob Easton and Reverend Kevin Melton officiating. The family will be present for a visitation on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Purcell Baptist Church Building Fund in her memory.
