George H. Higgins, Jr. age 54 of Carl Junction passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in Mission, Kansas.
He was born on October 26, 1963 in Belleville, Illinois to George H. Higgins, Sr. and Charlene (Fox) Higgins. George was a registered nurse for over 30 years and for the last year he was a traveling nurse. He loved to cook, target shoot, and to sail, but first and foremost he loved his family.
George is survived by his wife, Tammy Higgins of Carl Junction; a son, Braun M. Higgins and wife Chelsea of Carl Junction; a daughter, Isabella B. Higgins of Carl Junction; a brother, Steven Higgins and wife Amy of Parsons, Kansas; sisters, Dorothy Jones of Shawnee, Kansas, Shirley Nelson of Arkansas, and Susan Godwin of Texas.
The family will have a celebration of life service at the Carl Junction Christian Church on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Carl Junction Christian Church in his memory.
