Josey Ray Smotherman, age 20, of Miller, MO died on Friday, December 01, 2017, as a result of an auto crash on Highway TT near Ash Grove, MO. Josey was born in Rifle, CO on Saturday, January 04, 1997. He was the son of Billy J. and Nancy (Perkins) Smotherman. Josey Ray was employed by Joplin Stockyards. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Perkins Smotherman.

Surviving are the following: his dad, Billy J. Smotherman of the home; and a stepbrother, Dustin Pierson of Lamar, CO.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday December 8, 2017, at the Peacock Funeral Chapel in Lamar, CO. Burial will be at the Fairmont Cemetery in Lamar, CO. Local arrangements were provided by Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
