(From Parker Mortuary)James ‘Jim’ Patrick Rhoads, age 66 of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at Research Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.
Jim was born January 5, 1957 to the late Glenn D. and Mary Ann Rhoads in Joplin. He graduated from Parkwood High School in Joplin.
Jim was a talented man, working many jobs throughout his life. Those including for the City of Grove, starting in the Waste Water Department and working his way up throughout a couple other departments. He worked for Simmons Poultry, in their parts department and eventually becoming a freelance handman before his passing.
On August 30, 2001, Jim married Sherry McNally in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, she is survived of the home in Grove.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Shakira Jake of Seneca; step-sons, Scott Hubler (Audrey) of Webb City and Shaun Hubler (Leighann) of Andover, Kansas; sister, Diane Baker of Overland Park, Kansas; brothers, Mark Rhoads (Terry Spieler) of Jefferson City and Mike Rhoads (Kathy) of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Jack Rhoads.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
