Bonnie Peters

Bonnie Louise Peters, of Lockwood, MO, departed this life on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in the Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation Facility at the age of 92.

She was born on September 1, 1931 in Conway, MO to Harold and Mattie (Johnson) Caffey. Bonnie graduated from Conway High School. She was united in marriage to Howard Lee Peters on June 8, 1950 in Lebanon, MO, and they were married for 70 years. 







Bonnie had worked as a cafeteria cook for Pershing School, and also a Quality Control Inspector for General Electric in Springfield for over 30 years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Springfield.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Harold and Mattie Caffey; her husband, Howard Peters; and her brother, Billy Joe Caffey.








Survivors include one son, Kenneth Peters and wife Jane of Jefferson City, MO; one daughter, Nancy Baker and husband Travis of Lockwood, MO; three granddaughters, Michelle Hardman and husband Lance of Lamar, MO, Jennifer Kunkel and husband Kent of Concordia, MO, and Meredith Marsh and husband Aaron of Concordia, MO; six great-grandsons, Lakin Hardman, Luke Hardman, Landon Hardman, Josiah Kunkel, Ryan Kunkel, and Keaton Marsh; two great-granddaughters, Taylor O’Sullivan and husband Thomas and Quinn Marsh; two great-great-grandchildren, Thomas James O’Sullivan and Tatum O’Sullivan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, in Lockwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Paul Lutheran High School in Concordia, MO. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
