Tony Willoughby

Tony Ray Willoughby, age 54, Carl Junction, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Mercy of Joplin after an extended illness.

Tony was born December 25, 1969 in Farmington, MO son of the late Jack Ray Willoughby and Sherry Lee (Barbee) Willoughby. He attended school in Picher, OK and has followed in his father's footsteps by working with cars his whole adult life. 








He was owner and operator of TnT Auto Salvage in Carl Junction for many years. He loved working on cars and was especially fond of his time spent at the Mo-Kan Dragway. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing pool and doing bar-b-ques while listening to old rock-n-roll. He will be remembered and missed by many.

Survivors include his children, Tamara Willoughby of Neosho, MO and Tony Willoughby and wife Kathy of Joplin; grandchildren, Devin, Izabella, and Haegen; brothers, Brian Willoughby and wife Stacia of Carthage, MO and Thomas Justice of Fairland, OK; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.








Graveside service will be Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus, KS with Pastor Ray Clontz officiating. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Willoughby, Devin Willoughby, Brian Willoughby, Kenny Robertson, Eric Neely, and Marvin Phillippi. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dexter Mullins, Steve Barbee, Keith Barbee, Thomas Justice, and Jeff Abbott.

The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Monday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.




Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with Tony’s final expenses.
