Kenneth Archer

Kenneth Dee Archer, 94, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Carthage, Missouri surrounded by his loving family.

Kenneth was born on February 22, 1930 in Sarcoxie, Missouri to the union of the late Pleasa Simpson Archer and Ethel Michell.

He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Esther Straw Schubert on January 1, 1972, sharing fifty-two years of wonderful memories. Kenneth was engaged in full time farming. He was a very hard worker and very devoted to his family.








He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; cousin, Viola; stepson, Howard Schubert and son-in-law, James Pyle.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Esther R. Archer; half-sister Carol and Husband; their two sons and grandchildren; step-children, sons, David Schubert and wife, Sharon, of La Russell, Missouri, Dannie Schubert and partner Robin; Robert Schubert and wife, Debra, of Stotts City, Missouri; Dale Schubert and wife, Markita, of Collinsville, Oklahoma and daughter Joan Pyle of Cushing Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren, forty-five great- grandchildren and thirteen great- great grandchildren.






 

Celebration of Life will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Crossroads Baptist Church, 17531 State Hwy 96, Carthage, Missouri, with Pastor Bob Morgan officiating. Urn bearers are Michael Schubert, Joshua Schubert, Todd Schubert, Robert Pyle, Nathan Schubert, Matthew Schubert, Justin Schubert; Dustin Schubert; Dalton Rodgers, Cody Rodgers, Landon and Brayden Pyle. Reception will follow after service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the VA Memorial in Sarcoxie, Missouri.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri.
