(From Konantz Warden Funeral Home)Carol Jean Pierce, 74, of Liberal, MO passed away on Thursday May 23, 2024. She was born in Pittsburg, KS to Thelma (Miller) and Charles Coots. She grew up in the Pittsburg area, graduating from Pittsburg High School in 1967.
After school she trained in Kansas City and then worked in Pittsburg for the Census Bureau. Carol married Charles Pierce at the Nazarene Church in Pittsburg on September 10, 1971. The lived on their farm south of Liberal, MO where she raised her family and lots of baby calves. She loved God. Carol was a faithful wife and mother. She was selfless and was always there for her family, spending quality time with her children, and taking them places. She loved her children, and it showed in the way she supported them in all that they did. There was not a negative bone in her body, and she lived her life as a great example of the Fruits of the Spirit.
She is survived by her husband: children Charlene (Dustin) Strong of Pittsburg, KS, Danny (Caitlin) Pierce of Liberal, MO, Bobby (Angela) Pierce of Rogers, AR, and Dwight (Amber) of Jasper, MO. She is also survived by grandchildren Benjamin, Alexander, Eleanor, Cody, Casey, Marshall, Hazel, and Grant, and may other family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law Ami Pierce.
If you would like to make a memorial contribution in lieu of flowers the family suggests Verdella Freewill Baptist Church or a church of your choice in care of the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held at Konantz Warden Funeral Home on Monday May 27, 2024, at 1:00 PM. The funeral home will be open from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday for people who would like to come in and sign the book. There is also a drive-up box with a page of the book to sign, in the after-hours box located on the north side of the building/driveway.
