Louise Brooks

Frances "Louise" Brooks, age 94, of Cassville, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Mercy Hospital Springfield in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born May 3, 1930 in Springfield, Missouri the daughter of J.W. and Anna (Stansberry) Robbins. On June 5, 1949 in Cassville, Missouri she was united in marriage to Richard Brooks, who preceded her in death on November 18, 1994. Also preceding her in death were her parents; five brothers, Wayne, Ira, Earl, Ray and Loren Robbins and one sister, Oneita Doss.








Surviving are two daughters, Judy Dierks and her husband Ed of Lockwood, Missouri and Linda Byrd and her husband Jerry of Cassville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Melanie Caudill of Sikeston, Missouri and Julie Bishop and her husband Derek of Pendleton, Indiana; 7 great grandchildren, Brook Caudill, Payton Smith and Kate Smith of Sikeston, Missouri and Christian Bishop, Noble Bishop, Serene Bishop and Jovie Bishop of Pendleton, Indiana and a host of nieces and nephews.

Louise and Richard lived in the Cassville area all their married life. She graduated from Cassville High School with the class of 1947. Louise worked as a cafeteria cook at local schools including, Mt. Sinai School, (1 -8, rural), Jenkins School, (1-8, rural) and at Cassville Public Schools where she was supervisor and from where she retired in 1995. She was known for her love and commitment to God, Church, Family, and her cooking. 







Louise was especially good at making homemade bread and dinner rolls. She rarely missed a Kansas City Chiefs football game on TV! Louise was a lifelong member of Mill Street Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School classes for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Mill Street Church of Christ, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Garrett Akin and Laith Hayward will conduct the services. Burial will be at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at Mill Street Church of Christ.
Contributions may be made to Fair Haven Children's Home in memory of Louise.
