(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Tom W. McDonald, age 63, of Carthage, Missouri passed away Thursday May 16, 2024 at his home following a short illness.
He was born May 5, 1961 in Omaha, Nebraska to Earl and Bona (Whitsel) McDonald.
Tom was a truck driver for many companies. He enjoyed the road and being with his family.
Tom married Terri Cornett on April 10, 1982 and she survives. He is also survived by one son, Tom W. McDonald Jr, Springfield, Missouri; two daughters, Tara Anderson and husband Brian, Carthage, Missouri, Tiffany Watkins and husband Steve, Cassville, Missouri; one brother Robert McDonald; two sisters, Earlene Monroe, Helen Inman; and eight grandchildren, Taylor Thomas and husband, Jake, Michael Sheehan, Jeremiah Sheehan, Zoe Watkins and husband, Colton, Mackenzie Watkins, Phallyn Anderson, Arthur Anderson Tommy Anderson, and one great grandson, Maverick Thomas, as well numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday May 23, 2024 at Mason-Woodard Mortuary with Jeremie Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Carthage, Missouri. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 7:00 pm Wednesday at the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory Joplin, Missouri.
