Cydni Bouman

Cydni Dawn (Carter) Bouman, 54, of Parsons, died on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Her illness was sudden and unexpected and she was taken to Labette Health in Parsons and transferred to the St. Louis hospital.

She was born in Tulsa on March 19, 1970. Her father is Alan “Cody” Carter and her mother is Judith (Noble) Murphy. Cydni grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Memorial High School. Throughout her adult life she has worked in the health care field. She was employed at the Cancer Treatment Center in Tulsa and later as office manager for her husband, Dr. Jerry Bouman, in Parsons.








Cydni was blessed with many lifelong friends whom she remained close with. She was a natural caregiver who loved people and interacting socially with friends and family. She never met a stranger and often would sit with patients who had no close family, usually helping behind the scenes in a way that many would never be aware of.

Cydni often helped with her grandchildren and loved to read, ride motorcycles and boat on Grand Lake.

She and Dr. Jerry Bouman were married on December 6, 2008 in Eureka Springs, AR. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons; Tyler Barron (Shelby) of Webb City, MO and Kenton Bouman (Deanna) of Parsons and grandchildren, Phelix, Lysi, Chaston, Emmaus, Tobias and Nicodemus; two daughters, Hunter Jameson (Aaron) and granddaughter, Mayble of Tulsa, OK and Kayla Creel (Jason) and grandchildren, Abigail, Annelise, Jason and Kaitlyn of Tulsa; her father, Alan “Cody” Carter (Paula) of Broken Arrow, OK; her mother, Judy Murphy of Tulsa; brothers, Douglas Murphy of Tulsa, Jason Neff, and nephew, Michael of Tulsa; sister – Karen Bennett (John) of Bartlesville and niece and nephew, Marissa and Donovan Spear; her sister-in-law – Carmel White (Dale) of Kansas City, MO; and her brothers-in-law, Gary Kibby (Donna) of Ketchum, OK, Gail Kibby of Fredonia and Darrell Kibby of Siloam Springs, AR.

Dr. Bouman and family extends special thanks to the Labette Health EMS, Emergency Department employees, colleagues and friends for their wonderful support during this difficult time. Cydni was an organ donor and several others will benefit from her loving decision.

A visitation and reception will be at the Wall Family Center, 2605 Main, Parsons, from 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 8.








The memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2024 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Tulsa (Northeast corner of 15th and Peoria).
