(From Knell Mortuary)Dennis Charles Carter, 64, Joplin, Missouri, passed away early Saturday morning, May 25, 2024, at Freeman West Hospital Joplin, Missouri. He was born on November 28, 1959, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of the late Rudy V. Carter and Aileen (Dixon) Carter.
Dennis married Tracey Martin, and to this union four children were born. Dennis worked many jobs throughout the years his last was at Truckomat of Joplin until he retired. Dennis loved cars and especially working on old cars.
He is survived by his children, Nicole Bicket (Brad), Amanda Kafton (Aaron), Jeff Carter, and Jake Shaffer (Emali); three sisters, Vicky Ward (Eric), Lanaha Wise (Mark), and Jennifer Payton (Jason); a brother, James Carter; and nine grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his ex-wife, Tracey Martin, and a brother, Randy Carter.
