Byron Cook

Byron Lynn Cook age 58 of Joplin Mo, passed away Wednesday, February 5th, on his land that he dearly loved.

Byron was born October 17, 1966 to Joan S Mathis Cook and the late Ronald L. Cook, Sr. He lived in the area all of his life. He worked for Missouri Metal for several years and recently stopped driving a truck.

Byron loved his horses and his dogs, whether it be going horse riding with his brother Jody, or putting his dogs in the passenger seat of his Dune Buggy and taking them for a ride, or just going for a walk out in his woods. Byron was the big brother that could never say no to his sister, Tina. 






During his teenage years, him and his two borthers, Jody and Little Ronnie, and sister, Tina loved growing up on the water at Grand Lake, they loved slalom skiing, and racing their boats on Grand, along with his black and yellow Allison race boat. Byron also enjoyed taking his remote-controlled speed boat out on the water, their love for the water still lives on today. Everyone would agree Byron had the biggest heart, he had so much love for his great nieces and nephews. Byron made it his responsibility of taking care of his Mother, whom he Dearly Loved!!

Survivors: His mother Joan Cook, brother Jody Cook (fiancé, Betty Barlett), sister, Tina Pennington (Rob Pennington), all of Webb City Mo, and many nieces and nephew and aunts and uncles and cousins with several extended family members.








Along with his father, he was proceeded in death by his brother, Ronnie L Cook Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 20, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at Webb City First Christian Church.

Arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, MO.
