Estell Clymer

Estell Dean Clymer, age 90, of Stella, Missouri, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025. He was born in Stella, Missouri, to Claude and Velma (Parks) Clymer. Estell graduated from Stella High School and went on to serve as a Sargent in the National Guard.

Estell married Ada Fern Clanton on May 2, 1953, and together they shared a lifetime of love until her passing on March 2, 2016. He later married Betty Rowe on August 18, 2018, and was heartbroken by her passing on January 24, 2022.








As a farmer, Estell found joy in working the land and living a life connected to nature. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, always eager to share a good story or lend a helping hand. Known for his curiosity and skill with tools, Estell had a knack for tinkering and enjoyed a good project. He was known area wide as a skilled welder and could create or repair anything made of metal. Estell was a longtime member and deacon at Stella Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his spouses, Ada Fern Clymer and Betty Rowe; his parents, Claude and Velma Clymer; his sister, Mary Beth Richardson; his brother, George Clymer; and his infant sister, Oleta Day.

Estell is survived by his children: Dean (Kathleen) Clymer of Rich Hill, Missouri, Rick (Bobbie) Clymer of Stella, Missouri, and Jane (Rick) Gardner of Grassy Creek, North Carolina. He is also survived by his bonus children: Lois (Edward) Davis of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Richard (Kay) Rowe of Crane, Missouri, and Melissa (David) Gibbens of Stark City, Missouri. Estell was a beloved grandfather to 19 grandchildren, great-grandfather to 48 great-grandchildren, and was blessed with one great-great-grandchild.







A visitation will be held at Clark Funeral Home – Chapel of Memories in Neosho, Missouri, on February 13, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The funeral service will take place on February 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Stella Baptist Church, with Brad White officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Stella, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Stella Baptist Church or Macedonia Cemetery, in memory of Estell.
