Wanda Schlueter

Wanda J. Schlueter, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and dedicated healthcare professional, passed away peacefully from natural causes on February 8, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born on October 26, 1933, in Neosho, Missouri, where she spent her life deeply rooted in her community.

Wanda was a proud Certified Nurse Assistant at Sale Hospital, where her compassion for others shone through every day. She devoted her career to the well-being of her patients, embodying the spirit of care that is at the heart of the healthcare profession. Wanda cherished her Baptist faith, which guided her life and strengthened her resolve to serve others.








An avid reader, Wanda found joy and solace in the pages of books, exploring various genres and immersing herself in stories that fueled her imagination. Her enthusiasm for literature inspired those around her and fostered meaningful conversations with family and friends.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away in 1958, and is survived by her loving sister-in-law, Carrie Schlueter, as well as her cherished nieces and nephews: Connie Patterson, Rick Combs, Lori Schumer, Marva Smith, and Mary Skelcy.

In addition to her husband, Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Waldo and June Combs, her son Johnny Schlueter, and brother Charlie Combs.








Wanda J. Schlueter will be profoundly missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her remarkable life.

A graveside service will be held in her honor at the Neosho IOOF Cemetery on February 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Dr. Jerry Seigel will officiate the ceremony, celebrating Wanda's life and legacy.
