Benny Lee Schultz was born October 22, 1935 in Memorial Hospital, Bartlesville, Oklahoma the son of Orville Olender Sanders Schultz and Sylvia Rae Potteiger Johnson, brother of Donnie Wayne Schultz who died in infancy, and Shirley JoAnn Schultz Almarode, who died in 2017. He died August 14, 2025.
He married Francis Florine "Flo" Farley March 11, 1957 in San Diego, California. He was the father of Russ Schultz, who passed away in 2021, Lisa Schultz and stepfather of Joseph Roque. He married Patricia Reinsch in 1983, stepdaughters Donna Masters and Michelle Reinsch survive.
He served aboard the USS Rasher in the Korean War in the US Navy.
He worked for IBM in San Diego, CA, Rochester, MN, St Louis, MO and Joplin, MO. He enjoyed golfing. He worked for Cardinal Health after retiring.
Services will be at Messiah Lutheran Church 9 am September 10th, followed by service at Missouri Veteran's Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri. Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home, Springfield, MO.
