(From Parker Mortuary)Patricia Jean McClain, 83, passed peacefully on September 4, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born September 24, 1941, in Joplin, Missouri, to Robert and Nona (Mitchell) Miller, Patricia lived a life filled with love, devotion, and joy that touched all who knew her.
Growing up in Joplin, Patricia’s early years were full of laughter and learning. It was at Parkwood High School where she met the love of her life, William “Bill” McClain. Their marriage, which spanned 65 years, was a shining example of partnership, loyalty, and deep affection. Together, they built a family and a life rich in shared experiences, always guided by their enduring commitment to one another.
Patricia built a long and meaningful career at both Security Bank & Trust and NEO Federal Credit Union, where her dedication and professionalism earned the respect of colleagues and members alike. One of her greatest joys was guiding each of her grandchildren as they opened their very first accounts, using those moments to pass along the values of responsibility and care that shaped her own life. More than any career accomplishment, Patricia’s true fulfillment came from time with her family. She treasured every moment with her grandchildren, nurturing them with her gentle spirit, steady wisdom, and unconditional love.
Known for her warm presence, Patricia could often be found with a favorite book in hand, softly humming as she went about her day. She was especially at home in her kitchen, where her famous chocolate sheet cakes became a family tradition. Patricia also held a special fondness for cardinals, symbols of beauty and remembrance, and treasured a painting of two cardinals gifted to her by Bill.
Patricia’s legacy lives on through her children, Mark McClain and Todd McClain (Kristi); grandchildren, Ashley Burke, Jeffrey McClain, Matthew McClain, Alison Moore, and Tim Osborn; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Joyce Attuso (Ron) and Sherri Ross (Jimmy).
She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Bill, her parents, Robert and Nona and mother-in-law Bernice McClain.
