(From Parker Mortuary)Bill V. Spencer, age 94 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 30, 2025 surrounded by family. Bill was born February 18, 1931 in Joplin to the late LeRoy L. and Verda (Atchley) Spencer.
Bill grew up in the Joplin area and later moved to Hawaii where he worked as a mechanic. He later moved back to the Joplin area and continued his career working for the local Chevrolet and Cadillac dealership. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed the outdoors and especially fishing. Bill was a long time member of the Elks Lodge, both in Hawaii and in Missouri.
In 2011, Bill married Christine Norton and she survives of the home in Joplin. Additional survivors include a daughter, Barbara Vicki Brown (Tim) of Louisburg, Kansas; son, Paul Wells of Colorado; step daughter, Carolyn Huff of Webb City; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Other than his parents, Bill is preceded in death by grandsons, Billy Reid, Raymond Kneff and a step son, Jessie Kneff.
No services are planned at this time.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
