Bennie E. Phillips age 82, of Joplin passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Webb City Health & Rehab.
He was born on December 9, 1932 in Crestline, Kansas. Bennie was a line worker at Vickers for 32 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Waco Christian Church.
Bennie married Mildred (Bendure) Phillips on July 24, 1993 in Duenweg, Missouri and she survives at home. He is also survived by his sons, Stephen Phillips and wife Laura of Arizona, Robert Phillips and wife Dawna of Joplin; daughters, Barbara Walton and husband Mark of Oklahoma, Crystal Lorance and husband Willie of Oklahoma; brother, Bob Phillips and wife Ginel of Arizona; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City with Dean Burpo officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 PM until service time. Burial will be at Old Pleasant View Cemetery near Weir, Kansas.
