William “Bill” E. Nuse, 59, Carthage, passed away at his home after a sudden illness. William Eugene Nuse was born November 9, 1955 in Encino, California, a son of the late William Edgar Nuse and LaVetta K. Brown Nuse. Bill was a graduate of Carthage Senior High School, Class of 1974 and after graduation enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam Conflict. Bill married Cassandra “Cassy” Davenport on August 12, 1978 in Neosho, MO; she survives. Bill was a line operator for Dyno-Nobel and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Carthage.
Additional survivors include his children, Zachery E. Nuse, Carthage, Kristi M. (Gary) Fohrenck, Bella Vista, AR, Abby K. (Jeremiah) Reeve, Nicholasville, Kentucky, Madison M. (Jason) Clark, Joplin and Kiefer Nuse, Carthage; a brother, Chuck Nuse (fiancée) Dawn Conway, Webb City, MO and nine grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his his mother, LaVetta K. Nuse, his father, William Edgar Nuse and his brother, Ronald Nuse.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Monday, September 28, 2015 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in the Knell Mortuary Chapel. James Perkins will officiate. Interment will be in Park Cemetery, Carthage.
