Nathaniel Wade 'Nate' McClelland, age 29, Joplin, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015.
Nate was born October 27, 1985 in Joplin and had lived in the area moving back from Clearwater, Florida.
Nate was a welder and carpenter. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating and fishing.
Nate is survived by his mother, Michelle Hughes and Kurt Willoughby, Springfield; the man that helped raise Nate, Kimble Daugherty, Joplin; children, Madison Marie McClelland, Clearwater, Florida, daughter of Nichole Syphers, LaKota McClelland and Raedence Reffett, children of Codessa Schoonover, Joplin; siblings, Megan DeCarlo Kivett and husband, Gregory, Jr., Joplin, John McClelland and wife, Karen, Dallas, Texas, Brittany Landers, Webb City; maternal grandmother, Doris McDowell, Joplin; aunts and uncles, Melissa Heinicke, Julie DeCarlo, Michael Vicory, Marissa and Jimmy Evans; cousins, Angela Furtado, Mark Slade, Lauren Putt, Jamie Evans; nieces and nephews, Whitney and Chase Kivett, Nathaniel McClelland, Joshua McClelland; father figure, Mac Torbit and several other extended family members and many friends.
Nate was preceded in death by a grandmother, Faye Kleeman; uncle, Mitchell Vicory, who taught him to love the outdoors; and two brothers, David Beasley and Mac Torbit, Jr.
Celebration of Life service is planned for Saturday, September 26th at 6:30 p.m. at The Grand Falls in south Joplin.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
