Billie M. Camp, age 98, of Joplin, MO passed away, Wednesday September 9, 2015, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. She was born on January 5, 1917, in Joplin, the daughter of Francis Marion and Parmelia Frances Wheeler Exendine. Billie married A. Benson Camp on January 5, 1938, in Seneca, MO. Together they raised three children. She was a devoted housewife, an avid bowler, who was still bowling in the Tuesday Claude Daniels League at Fourth Street Bowl up to the age of 96. And loved watching old movies and crocheting.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Benny, a son Arnott, a grandson Allan Camp three brothers: Ray, Lewis and Walter Exendine; and four sisters: Laura Hardwick, Alma Keeton, Cora Bennet and Emma Williams. She is survived by two sons, Ronald Camp and wife Dulcie of Greeley, CO; and Jon Camp and wife Michelle of Rochester, MN; four grandchildren: Bryan Camp, Christopher Camp, Teslyn Camp and Jason Camp; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at the Fairview Cemetery Joplin, MO. The family will receive friends at visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Wednesday at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory. Arrangements entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory. To honor many years of voluntary service in lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Cancer Instituite of Freeman Health System (417-347-4000).
