Blondie Throneberry

Mrs. Vivian Delores “Blondie” Stone Throneberry, 83, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday evening, April 21, 2016, at the Golden Living Center in Anderson, Missouri.

Blondie entered this life on February 1, 1933, in Bennett County, South Dakota, to the late Adolph and Emma (Laufman) Gerold. She attended school in Bakersfield, California and Monroe, Oregon. On June 2, 1951, she was united in marriage to David “Dude” Stone and to this union four children were born, Denny, Dan, Kitty and Todd. After she and Dude were married they made their home in Columbus, Kansas, eventually moving to Anderson, Missouri in 1972, where they owned and operated the IGA Grocery Store on Main Street. Dude passed away on June 13, 1980. On October 24, 1998, she married Robert “Bob” Throneberry and together they have shared the last seventeen years. She enjoyed dancing, tending to her flowerbeds, cooking and family gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Dude Stone; a brother, Tony Gerold; and four sisters, Myrtle Olson, Maylene Bartram, Joyce Koroush and Betty Campbell.

Blondie is survived by her husband, Bob Throneberry of the home; six children, Denny Stone and wife, Janice, of Anderson, Missouri, Dan Stone and wife, Gloria, also of Anderson, Kenny Throneberry and wife, Joyce, of Webb City, Missouri, Margaret Pacheco and husband, Joe, of Anderson, Kitty Kitterman and husband, Bob, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas and Todd Stone and wife, Tanya, of Anderson; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; two brothers, Ike Gerold of Lasalle, Colorado and Leslie Gerold of Ogallala, Nebraska; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
