Gladys Moody

Gladys Eleen Moody, 90, of Monett, MO, passed away on Sunday morning, April 17, 2016, at her home.

Gladys was born on January 16, 1926 in Monett, daughter of the late Robert Jackson Smith Kitterman and Cora Ann (Stevens) Kitterman. She was a graduate of Monett High School.

Gladys was a member of the Grace Independent Fundamental Methodist Church, formerly Fundamental Methodist Church, in Monett.

On Christmas Day in 1949, Gladys and Lewis J. Moody were united in marriage. To this union, five children were born. They were blessed with over fifty-seven years together before his passing on September 30, 2006.

Gladys is survived by her two sons, Rick Moody and wife Gayla, of Joplin, Terry Moody, of Joplin; two daughters, Brenda Gum and husband Terry, of Springfield and Teresa Binns, of Monett; her adopted children at heart, Mohammed Salami and Martha Brubaker; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Paul White; and twelve brothers and sisters.
