Lisa Gayle Lapping, age 54 of Joplin, Mo. passed away at her home on Sunday, April 24, 2016 following a sudden illness.
Lisa was born on August 18, 1961, in Joplin, the daughter of Charles Lapping and Nancy (Hayden) Souder. She has been a lifetime area resident, Lisa worked as a nurse for Integrity Healthcare. Lisa was an amazing daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was sweet and caring. Anyone that knew her loved her contagious laugh and beautiful smile. She was a friend to everyone she met. She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her mother, Nancy Souder, three sons; Josh Sharp of Joplin, Daniel Sharp of Webb City, Mo., Derek Sharp and wife Samantha of Neosho, Mo., one brother; Kevin Lapping of Joplin, and three grandchildren; Jordan, Raevyn and Angela. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Charles Lapping, and step-father, Charles Souder.
Lisa is to be cremated with the family receiving friends during a time of visitation on Friday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
