Michael David Weiss, age 52 passed away at his home Sunday morning April 24, 2016 following an illness.
Michael was born August 13, 1963 in Joplin, MO. His parents were Jon David and Trina Marie (Brown) Weiss. He had lived in Galena less than a year moving from Webb City, MO.
He last worked in a parts department at a Toyota dealership. He was a member of First Christian Church, Baxter Springs, KS and had recently been attending The Road, Webb City, MO. He was a Quapaw Tribal member. Among his interests and pastimes were fishing watching NASCAR and sports and working on cars and motorcycles.
Surviving is his mother, Trina Weiss, Jay, OK; one brother, Scott Weiss (wife, Jodie), Jay OK, one sister, Shari Spencer (husband, David), Paola, KS; 4 nephews, Ryan Weiss, Trent Weiss, Layne Spencer, and Tayler Spencer; and one uncle Wayne Weiss ( wife, Barbara)
Michael has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation.
