Arlin Albert “Al” Campbell, age 86 of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at his home.
He was born June 20, 1931 in Arkansas City, Kansas the son of William Albert and Eva (Morgan) Campbell. On December 27, 1950 he was united in marriage to Rozella “Rose” Sparks, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Murray Albert Campbell and his wife Rachél of Joplin, Missouri; two daughters, Vickie Gail Klubeck and her husband Brian of Murphysboro, Illinois and Andra Lea Florer and her husband Gary of Butterfield, Missouri; one sister, Velma Stoneking of Monett, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Ernest Richard Campbell and Ralph Emmett Campbell and one sister, Joyce Admire Campbell.
Al moved from Kansas to Wyoming as a child and graduated from high school in Casper, Wyoming. For a few years he was employed in the oil fields for Standard Refinery and served in the National Guard. He then moved to Colorado where he worked for Coors Brewing Company for twenty-five years. He was a member of Arvada Fire Protection District in Colorado. In 1987 he moved to Jenkins, Missouri where he retired and later made his home in Cassville. He was a member of Cassville United Methodist Church. Working with wood was his favorite pastime and was known for his bird houses. He also enjoyed fishing.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Reverend Don Beeson will conduct the services. Burial will be at Sparks Cemetery in Butterfield.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
