Bill Utby

Mr. William David “Bill” Utby, 72, of Jane, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday morning, October 31, 2017, at his residence after months of declining health.

Bill entered this life on July 10, 1945, in Bakersfield, California, son of the late Charles William and Esther (Davis) Utby. He was raised and attended school in Southern California. He attended college while living in Hawaii. On August 21, 1970, he was united in marriage to Diane Winkler and together they have shared the last forty-seven years. They resided several years in Santa Ana and Riverside, California before moving to Jane, Missouri in 2013. He was a civil designer throughout his life and a member of the Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed reading, playing golf, antique cars and caring for his animals.

Bill is survived by his wife, Diane Utby of the home; two children, Tommy Bowen of Jane and Patty Saulsbery and husband, Tom, also of Jane; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mr. Utby are 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2017, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Marilyn O’Brien officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
