Bobby Lee “Bob” Zwingle, of Greenfield, MO, departed this life on Monday, January 1, 2018, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO at the age of 84 years.
He was born on March 6, 1933 in Comanche, OK to George and Mary Jewell Zwingle. Bob graduated from Comanche High School and received his Bachelors Degree from OSU. He served his country in the United States Army. Bob farmed throughout his life. He was united in marriage to Connie Rushing on November 25, 1995 in Arcola, MO. Bob was president and served for many years on the board of the Dade County Farm Bureau. He was a member of the Dade County Extension, and the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, George and Jewell Zwingle; two daughters, Ceze Pirtle and Cathy Zwingle; and one sister, Mary Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Zwingle of the home; three sons, Allen Zwingle and his wife Karen of Joplin, MO, Kevin Zwingle and his wife Sandi of Nixa, MO, and Phillip Zwingle and his wife Sarah of Columbia, MO; one sister, Patsy Camp and her husband David of Deer Park, TX; eight grandchildren, Travis Pirtle and his wife Desiree, Katie Deak, Sam Pirtle and his wife Kari, Bethany Mercer and her husband James, Peyton Zwingle, Zack Zwingle, Willa Zwingle, and Pearl Zwingle; three great-grandchildren, Millie Pirtle, Elin Pirtle, and Elise Mercer; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2017, in Immanuel Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, OK.
