(From Midland Cremation Society)Crystal Diana Todd, 69, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, surrounded by love.
Born in Coffeyville, Crystal lived a life full of movement and adventure, traveling much of her early years before settling in Joplin, where she made her home for the past 25 years.
Crystal loved her family fiercely and without reservation. Her greatest joy—her most treasured role—was being Nana. Nothing made her happier than her grandchildren, and later her great-grandchildren, who held her whole heart. To them, she was love, laughter, comfort, and strength all wrapped into one unforgettable woman.
She spent her working years as a caregiver, a role that reflected who she was at her core—selfless, compassionate, and always putting others first. Known for her quick wit, sharp sarcasm, and snappy personality, Crystal kept everyone on their toes and laughing. She loved to dance, soak up summer days in the pool, and dream of cruises and beach trips—always ready for the next adventure.
Crystal is survived by her loving husband, Larry Todd; her children David Pearsall (Sylvia Pearsall), Teresa Knisley (Shannon Knisley), Melanie Pearsall, Monica Todd, and Michelle Todd; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom were endlessly loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Jerrimiah Bridges, and her brother, Carl Bridges.
A celebration of Crystal’s life will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Carthage Family Worship Center, 629 S. Case St., Carthage, MO 64836.
Following the service, family and friends are invited to a social gathering with snacks at the home of Teresa Knisley.
Crystal’s legacy lives on in the laughter she sparked, the love she gave so freely, and the family she cherished above all else. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
