(From Clark Funeral Home)Kathleen McGarrah passed away on January 4, 2026. She was born on March 24, 1931, in Rocky Comfort, Missouri, to Otis and Eliza Cullers Link. She was a graduate of Stella High School, where she was Homecoming Queen and salutatorian. She married Joseph McGarrah in 1948, and they lived in the San Francisco Bay area for a decade before returning to Missouri to purchase a farm outside Stella.
Kathleen was a devoted wife and mother who loved reading, working crossword puzzles, long walks on the farm, and spending time with family. She was a longtime fan of Jeopardy. Kathleen was also a committed animal lover, who always found time to care for a stray.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, two brothers, Bryon and William Link, and two sisters, Mary Bremerman and Beverly Embrey.
Survivors include son Cliff of Missouri, daughter Janice and husband Steve Williams of Texas, and daughter Kathy of Texas. Brother-in-law Virgil McGarrah also survives her.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Union Cemetery in McDonald County, Missouri.
