(From Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home)Edward Wayne Cox, 64, of Monett, entered eternal rest on Friday, January 2, 2026, while at his home. He was born in Monett, Missouri, on March 14, 1961, the son of Phyllis (Hufft) Reddell and the late Frank Cox. He was united in marriage in December 1997 in Wentworth, Missouri, to Misty Canady; she survives.
He was a construction worker and a veteran of the United States Navy.
Wayne is survived by his wife Misty of the home; five sons; Brandon Cox, Jeremy Cox of Carthage, Missouri, Zach Cox of Joplin, Missouri, Dalton Cox of Monett, Missouri and Colin Cox of Monett, Missouri; one brother; Joe Cox of Crane, Missouri; two sisters; Rachel Cook of Crane, Missouri and Elizabeth Williams of Aurora, Missouri; and eleven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank, and two brothers: Tim Cox and Danny Cox.
