Karen Lillard

Karen Sue Lillard, 53, passed away at 11:50 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at her home. Karen was born February 13, 1961 in Webb City, MO. She was the daughter of Carter and Henrietta Smalley. Karen lived most of her adult live in Carthage. She was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Pointe Assembly of God Church in Carthage. Karen was in band at Carthage High School and played the clarinet, was very passionate about her family and loved being “Mom’s Taxi”.

Karen was united in marriage to David Lillard on March 10, 1989 in Carthage, MO. He survives.

Other survivors include four sons; Christopher Sisk of Joplin, Nik Lillard and his wife Lesia of Anaheim, CA, Matthew Sisk and his wife Christina of Fort Sill, OK, and Micah Curry and his wife Charity of Rogers, AK, one brother; Kenny Smalley and his wife Vicky of Carthage, two grandsons and two granddaughters.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 9,2014 at Grace Pointe Assembly of God. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Pointe Assembly of God Church.
